When our classic Huipil Weekender feels a bit too roomy, the Huipil Mini-Weekender is the perfect travel companion. Designed to fit under an airplane seat and crafted with a built-in trolley sleeve that slips securely over your roller bag, it keeps travel easy, organized, and stylish.
Each bag is made from a vintage handwoven Mayan huipil (pronounced wee-peel), a traditional blouse woven on a backstrap loom by Indigenous artisans in Guatemala. We partner with skilled leather craftsmen who transform these heritage textiles into functional, one-of-a-kind travel bags you won’t find anywhere else.
This artisan-made mini-weekender is the ideal size for weekend trips, carry-on travel, or everyday commuting—and every bag carries a story of culture, craftsmanship, and sustainable design.
Features:
- Dimensions: 18”W x 8”D x 14”H
- Vintage cotton huipil exterior with slip pocket + trolley sleeve
- Fully lined with vintage cotton fabric
- Two interior pockets: one slot pocket + one zippered pocket
- Sustainably sourced, vegetable-tanned leather
- Handmade in Guatemala by skilled leather artisans

Handmade Vintage
This product is made with handmade, upcycled fabric. We believe the minor imperfections associated with vintage fabric are part of the charm and uniqueness of the item. We do our best to take photos that accurately represent the true colors and worn nature of the handwoven fabric, but colors vary across monitors, and photos can’t highlight all aspects of a product.
