Description

Infuse your home with authentic Moroccan style through Intertwined’s handwoven Sabra cactus silk kilim pillow covers. Traditionally, these textiles were woven from the silk of the Sabra cactus, but today they are crafted from a sustainable natural fiber that offers the same softness and beauty with added durability.

Each pillow is hand-loomed by Berber women using age-old weaving techniques and adorned with symbolic motifs inspired by traditional tattoos once worn by Berber women. These intricate designs—representing protection, fertility, longevity, and connection—make every pillow cover a meaningful work of art as well as a stunning accent for your home.

Made to last, cactus silk kilim pillows combine the elegance of silk with the strength of plant-based fibers, making them perfect for everyday use while adding a touch of global charm to your sofa, bed, or favorite chair.

Designed for Meaningful Living
What Make Intertwined Products Special?

Intertwined is not simply a shop filled with handmade goods we found along the way (although we do have some of those, too). We design or co-design most of our products in close partnership with skilled artisan makers, combining traditional craft techniques with pieces that feel beautiful, useful, and at home in modern life.

Our artisan partners bring generations of knowledge—handweaving, glassblowing, leatherwork, embroidery, sewing, pottery, and more. We bring design ideas, product direction, and a deep respect for the materials, processes, and people behind each piece.

The result is a collection that feels distinctly Intertwined: handmade, story-rich, thoughtfully designed, and created through relationships—not mass production.

Care Instructions

We recommend dry cleaning your Wool Momo Blanket to preserve its size, texture, and heirloom quality.

These blankets are traditionally finished by soaking in natural volcanic hot springs, which helps bind the wool fibers and gives them their thick, dense, comforting feel. Because wool can continue to felt or shrink with heat, agitation, or sudden temperature changes, we do not recommend machine washing.

For everyday care, shake out gently, spot clean small areas with cool water and mild soap when needed, and air out occasionally. For deeper cleaning, take it to a trusted dry cleaner familiar with wool textiles.

Meet the Artisan

Soufiane Belhayl

SOUFIANE BELHAYL is a skilled leather artisan in Marrakech, Morocco who started learning his craft at the age of 12. Soufiane and his 4 partners create beautifully crafted purses and handmade bags out of vintage kilim and leather, leather pillow covers and leather tabletop items such as placemats and napkin rings for Intertwined. Our Moroccan poufs and handmade pillows from vintage kilims are also made by Soufiane. He also identifies and recruits other Moroccan artisans to create designs for Intertwined.
