What Makes this Pillow Special?
Each pillow cover is made from vintage handwoven indigo corte fabric — a traditional Mayan skirt textile that had a life long before it was thoughtfully reimagined for the home. The original hand-embroidered randa seam is preserved in the design, adding texture, history, and a beautiful reminder of the hands that made and wore the textile before it became a pillow. And because the indigo fabric has an easy, almost denim-like quality, it works a little like your favorite pair of jeans: relaxed, timeless, and surprisingly easy to pair with almost anything.
About the Randa Seam
Each pillow has a decorative hand-embroidered seam called a randa. Traditionally, a randa joins two woven panels together.
On these pillows, it becomes both a practical detail and a little work of art — a quiet reminder that skilled hands touched every step.
