Moroccan Handcrafted Leather Bags
These are the kinds of bags you reach for every day—and keep for years. Handcrafted in Morocco from rich, vegetable-tanned leather (and sometimes vintage kilim textiles), each one carries the marks of the maker and the story of the materials. No two are exactly alike—and that’s exactly the point.
Moroccan Leather Bags: What to Know
What makes Moroccan leather different?
Moroccan leather is widely considered some of the finest in the world, thanks to a tanning process that has been practiced for over 1,000 years. Using natural materials, this method creates rich color, durability, and a leather that softens beautifully over time—developing a unique patina with use.
What is a kilim?
A kilim is a flatwoven textile traditionally made by Berber artisans. In select designs, vintage kilims are thoughtfully incorporated into our bags—bringing texture, history, and one-of-a-kind character to each piece.

Are all of the bags one of a kind?
Many of our bags are completely one of a kind, especially those made with vintage kilim textiles. Even within our leather designs, natural variations in the leather and handcrafted details mean no two are exactly alike.
Will the leather change over time?
Yes—and that’s part of the beauty. Vegetable-tanned leather softens, deepens in color, and develops a natural patina with use, making your bag uniquely yours over time.
Why does the leather have a natural scent?
Because it’s real, traditionally tanned leather. The scent comes from the natural tanning process and will soften and fade with time as the bag is used and aired.
